In November 2010, My Twitter Toolbox Founder David Perdew implemented a new sales incentive program for channel partners and affiliates, the MTTB partner program.
The incentive reward program was a 14-day event from November 16th to November 30th and was open and free to all employees. It consisted of eight reward levels with steps from 25 to 1500 steps and included iPads, computers, gift cards, and a 4-day Caribbean cruise.
Perdew explained, “We’ve set this program up for two reasons. We want affiliates and partners at all levels to be rewarded based on the effort they exert in referring new members to My Twitter Toolbox.” Aiming at the holiday season, he added, “And two: For a limit-period, we’ll add this extra incentive on top of the 50 percent instant commission to help affiliates create much needed cash before the holiday season with this 14-day event.”
Taking advantage of peak seasons, Perdew noted that it was the perfect time to become a My Twitter Toolbox partner or member. The company’s increasing popularity as a Twitter resource is fast becoming “the go-to destination for bloggers and prospective Twitter users looking to learn more about the micro-blogging platform’s capabilities,” Perdew went on to say.
Sales incentives are an effective strategy to motivate channel partners and affiliates. Taking advantage of particular seasons or holidays can add to an incentive program’s success.
