When in Scotland...
… Speak like a Scot! A major player in the carpet cushion manufacturing industry wanted to reward 145 of its top customers with the incentive travel trip of a lifetime. Incentive Solutions Director of Travel Services, Deven Crane, was up for the task – even if it meant learning new ways to say the word “sweater.” “A program of this nature,” says Deven Crane, “has many wheels turning in many locations at the same time, but we were ready for the challenge.” The travelers moved from Edinburgh to Loch Ness (where they searched for the famous creature of lore) and ended their journey at St. Andrews, home of the world’s most sought-after golf course. In each city, the group picked up Scottish slang and sayings. Here’s a taste of what they heard:
