Purpose of Position:

Use graphic design and video software such as Adobe Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator and After Effects as well as HTML, CSS, WYSIWYG editors, and content management systems to design and produce high-end websites, print collateral, emails and videos that accurately reflect client and internal company goals, objectives, brand standards and identity. Focus on maintaining client and internal company needs while incorporating the latest design trends including typography, iconography, page layout, color schemes, etc. on a daily basis.

You will be primarily working with the Account Management Team and the Marketing Team to ensure successful implementation and delivery of projects, but you will also work collaboratively with clients, Account Coordinators, Travel Directors, Project Managers, the Sales Team, Accounting Team, Printers and any other contract laborers as needed.



Essential Functions and Responsibilities:


  • Digital Design (55%)
    • Website Design
      • Create and edit custom template-based and custom websites that reflect a high level of sophistication, skill and creativity.
      • Create custom design pieces built for company corporate WordPress websites
    • Video Creation and Editing
      • Manage the process of producing and distributing internal marketing videos. This includes filming the videos, editing them, posting them to a video sharing site, and creating content (titles and descriptions) for said videos.
        • Email Design
          • Design and edit mobile-responsive email templates, e-newsletters and e-blasts that display appropriately across browsers and popular email clients.
      • Help to establish and maintain corporate branding guidelines.
      • Design with corporate and client brand guidelines in mind.
      • Construct and edit visual ads for display advertising (PPC and Re-marketing ads).
      • Maintain, edit and improve social media design elements.
      • Assist in creating custom elements for brand website pages.
      • Editing and updating custom graphics for websites.
      • Mobile marketing.
  • Print Design (35%)
    • Produce high-quality print collateral (trifolds, postcards, fliers, magazine advertisements, business cards, large banners, airport signs, bag tags, name tags, leave behind cards, travel itineraries, etc.) that reflects a high level of clean and functional design.
    • Proofread print projects to produce accurate and high-quality work.
    • Work closely with printer in order to produce high-res and typo-free print collateral.
  • Other (10%)
    • Find appropriate stock photos, icons and fonts to be used for digital and print design projects.
    • Participate in monthly Marketing/Creative team meetings for team building purposes.
    • Actively participate in brainstorming and creative thinking sessions.
    • Mentor and provide project guidance, timely feedback and training for company employees on need basis.
    • Update and maintain a document of passwords and usernames for various third-party website resources including Jotform, Trello, Google Drive, etc.
    • Other projects and duties as assigned.


Ongoing Daily Activities:

  • Manage multiple design projects at once. This process includes receiving job request forms from team members, estimating the time required to complete a project and scheduling the appropriate amount of time for said project in your Outlook calendar.
  • Maintain accurate files and file structure organization for projects using the internal company drive.
  • Meet project milestones and deadlines.
  • Attend kick-off meetings with team members to discuss creative needs for new projects.
  • Stay in constant contact with team members throughout the lifespan of a project, while providing project updates.
  • Maintain a daily time log in order to appropriately track billable hours for projects.
  • Create promo quotes with estimated project hours and cost for custom projects as needed.
  • Create final quotes with actual project hours and cost for custom projects as needed.
  • Work closely with the Accounting Team to ensure that actual project hours are billed to the appropriate party.
  • Edit and approve all creative jobs before release to team member or client.


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • A degree in web design, graphic design or a related field.
  • A willingness to learn new programs/ technologies and grow in your field.
  • Ability to work within Mac and Windows operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and After Effects.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of PHP
  • Working knowledge of Apple iMovie and Keynote.
  • Working knowledge of HTML and CSS (HTML5 and CSS3 preferred).
  • Basic understanding of Javascript/jQuery.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills.
  • Team-oriented, positive attitude.
  • Must have strong ability to prioritize work and meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-starter who requires minimal supervision.
  • Thrives in a small-team environment.
  • Ability to give and receive feedback on your work.


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to use computers and creative software without assistance.
  • Must be able to use office equipment such as telephones, printers, copy machines, fax machines, etc. without assistance.
  • Ability to be in a sitting position for long periods of time with demonstrated ability to work well under pressure.
